How to CARE FOR YOUR TILES with Vitrex.
When taking care of the tiles, whether that’s day to day cleaning or a deep clean, always check that the cleaning products are suitable for your kitchen or bathroom tiles. Read the manufacturer’s instructions thoroughly before use and if unsure, check with a tiling specialist
More often than not, it’s the grout which detracts from the overall effect of a tiled area. Using Vitrex Grout Cleaner on the grout lines will leave the grout looking like new. Avoid scrubbing powers and steel wool where possible, as these highly abrasive materials can permanently scratch the tile surface
Either after the tiles have been fitted and settled, or after a deep clean of both the tiles and grout, use a sealer such as Vitrex Tile and Grout Sealer on the grout joints. Make sure to test the sealer on a spare tile or small area first to make sure it doesn’t damage or discolour the tiles in any way • Vitrex Mould Remover is ideal for removing mould from bathroom and kitchen sealant and maintaining that just installed finish
If any grout cracks or gets damaged, remove the grout in the area with a grout rake, and reapply. The Vitrex range of tiling tools includes all you need to remove and replace grout, from grout rakes to squeegees and sponges
For general maintenance of the tiles, regularly sweep the floor and clean using a damp mop and Vitrex Tile Clean and Shine. For wall tiles, gently wipe down using a damp cloth and Vitrex Tile Clean and Shine. This should be carried out at least once a week
For a more thorough clean, use a non-abrasive detergent and warm water to clean
Do not use any acid or bleach-based cleaners.
